Better Makeup Application
Here are 4 steps to make your face and your makeup look their
best.
Step 1... Prepare your face before you put on your makeup.
How? By cleansing it well...Apply a moisturizer before you
apply your foundation. Use an oil-free foundation if your skin
is prone to break-outs. Your makeup will go on much smoother
if you do this step first.
Step 2... Use the right foundation. The right one should blend
into your skin completely to give the appearance of no makeup
at all. Most skin tones can use a yellow-based base...Apply
the color to forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin with your finger.
If you are using a stick foundation, dot your finger and apply
it to your face. Use a synthetic makeup wedge to blend and
extend the color under your jawline and down your neck.
Step 3... Use a concealer for blemishes or dark circles...The
key here is to lightly layer it on to conceal what you're trying
to conceal. Use a makeup brush with a fine tip to apply the
concealer, not your finger. By doing it this way andnot dumping
a dot on what you're trying to cover, you'll hide it much better
rather than drawing attention to the imperfection.
Step 4... Take either a translucent or loose powder and apply
it to your face with either a big makeup brush or a fluffy
powder puff. Tap the excess off before dusting your face.
Lightly spray your face with a light mist of mineral water.
(Tap water has chlorine which is drying to the skin) This
will help set the makeup and give it a longer lasting look...
